marianne smyth is "lucia belia"

She's a master of disguise...

Marianne Smyth is now a twice convicted con artist whose aliases include "Lucia Belia" "Marianne Clarke" "Marianne Welch" "Mair Ellis" "Marianne Andle" and many more.

Pictured above are the "personas"  she used to scam victims in Florida, Tennessee,  Michigan, California and Northern Ireland.

She was convicted of Grand Theft in California in 2019 for scamming me out of close to $100,000  - COURT RECORDS HERE

She pled GUILTY and was convicted of GRAND THEFT in California in 2016 for scamming her employer out of $200,000 - COURT RECORDS HERE

She was charged with GRAND THEFT, FRAUD and FORGING DOCUMENTS  in Florida in 1994 - COURT RECORDS HERE

She was charged with FRAUD,  SHOPLIFTING and PASSING BAD CHECKS in Tennessee from 1994-1997 - COURT RECORDS HERE

She actually stole her own daughter's identity to lease an apartment in Los Angeles and left her daughter on the hook for $12,500 - POLICE REPORT HERE

From 2021-2024 Mair scammed a lot of new victims in Maine using various tricks. She actually started a "non-profit" and claimed to be working with NATO and the US Military to raise thousands of dollars to run rescue missions in the Ukraine. Evidence Here.  It was all an elaborate scam.

During that same period of time, Mair started a Satanic Church under the name "Lucia Belia" and scammed thousands of dollars from vulnerable victims seeking her out to cast spells and help them in their lives. Evidence Here.  One victim in particular had his bank account frozen by security personnel because  so much money was leaving his account every day and going into Mair's account. This victim was at the end of his rope. His wife and kids had left him and he was in a deep depression searching for help and hope when he found Mair. And she took full advantage.

Marianne Smyth is WANTED by Northern Ireland...

...for scamming 26 victims out $500,000. She had 17 greyhounds murdered to facilitate her speedy escape once she got tipped off that police were coming for her.

We  unpack all of her horrendous scams in Northern Ireland in:

Episode 6 of Queen of the Con: The Irish Heiress.

THESE ARE ALL FAKE STORIES TO TRICK MONEY FROM PEOPLE

                                                 DO NOT GIVE HER MONEY.

"Mair" graduated Bangor High in 1987 as "Marianne Andle"

She allegedly pulled a bunch of scams as a teenager in Maine I have heard. From faking pregnancy for abortion money... to faking cancer for treatment money. No low was too low.

Mair became a satanist named "Lucia Belia"

In one con, under her exotic new alias ‘Lucia Belia,’ Mair claimed to be a satanic high priestess while  tricking followers out of money using her ‘Satan’s Eye of the Storm’  shingle.

Mair's Ukraine Scam

Mair's Ukraine Scam

In another recent con, Mair was collecting thousands of dollars from victims in Maine and other states while claiming to be working with NATO and the US Military, raising money to run rescue missions in Ukraine. She actually forged emails to make them look like they were coming from Senator Susan Collins office.

MAIR WOULD SHOW VICTIMS FORGED EMAILS...

From Senator Susan Collins office to sell her Ukraine Fundraising Scam to her marks.

Ever since Mair had gastric bypass surgery...

She paid cash for it in Prague while she was scamming victims in Northern Ireland from 2001-2009. As a result she had constantly low blood iron. Not wanting to waste a great opportunity to scam people, while living in Los Angeles, Mair would intentionally let her blood iron get so low that she'd get admitted into a hospital for iron trans

She paid cash for it in Prague while she was scamming victims in Northern Ireland from 2001-2009. As a result she had constantly low blood iron. Not wanting to waste a great opportunity to scam people, while living in Los Angeles, Mair would intentionally let her blood iron get so low that she'd get admitted into a hospital for iron transfusions. While she was in a real hospital bed getting an iron transfusion, she'd have a nurse snap her picture and she'd text that picture to victims claiming she was in the hospital getting chemo as part of her cancer treatments. She used this cancer scam to get out of paying rent for nearly 6 months

Mair "The Psychic" could read strangers with a stunning accuracy...

...often times bringing clients to tears. Her kryptonite as it turns out was familiarity. She could not read people she knew. Once those clients, who were strangers, became friends - her accuracy took a nosedive. But to keep the plane in the air she convinced them she was a licensed psychologist and induced them into taking life coaching

Once those clients, who were strangers, became friends - her accuracy took a nosedive. But to keep the plane in the air she convinced them she was a licensed psychologist and induced them into taking life coaching classes from her. She'd have her new life coaching clients do lots of "homework assignments" which would have them writing long and detailed essays about their innermost secrets and fears – and then she'd use that Intel to scam each and every one of them. Hear from the clients themselves on "Queen of the Con: The Irish Heiress" available now wherever you get your podcasts.

She pretended to have cancer to get out of paying rent. She used a pair of crutches to appear disabled. In the picture above she faked mental illness by pretending she tried to kill herself. The judge believed her. She got admitted to a psych ward of a mental hospital in Los Angeles and was able to skip court for weeks. Eventually she had to come back to court, dressed in a sucide gown so she couldn't hurt herself. And the judge talked to her like he was addressing his 5 year old daughter - with love and compassion and sympathy. It infuriated me. "How can he believe her?" I thought. It was a real world testament to how convincing she was. Even to a jaded, experienced judge in the Los Angeles criminal court system. We unpack the details of her mental illness scam in Episode 7 of Queen of the Con: The Irish Heiress

Mair raised $16,460 for Cystic Fibrosis and then took the money for herself

She worked as a 'Sugar Baby' in Los Angeles and she'd start sexual relationships with wealthy married men. Then threaten to go to their wives. They all paid her thousands to  GO AWAY. We unpack this crazy scam in Ep 5 of Queen of the Con: The Irish Heiress.

...impersonate the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Ashley Judd, Dario Franchitti, Jack Capuano and even me! She texted and emailed some of her victims as ME, tricking one victim into believing she was in the hospital with a collapsed lung and could no longer teach the fraudulent life coaching classes the victim prepaid thousands of dollars for when Mair impersonated a licensed psychologist. Mair also tricked another victim into believing that I was collecting money for her daughter's experimental cancer treatments. Most times though she would email and text herself as one of the dozens of other "characters" she created and then show her victims her phone saying "Look what Jen just texted me." to trick them into believing stuff. She'd show me texts and emails on her phone from her Irish cousin Fintan, her barristers in Ireland and her Los Angeles attorneys - as evidence that what she was telling me about her life was true. I had no idea that she actually made up all those identities and then texted and emailed HERSELF to trick me. So the next time someone shows you their phone with a text or email from someone proving this or that... be wary.
